There are 3 type of glass, which are:
Type I – Borosilicate Glass (also known as Pyrex)
Type II – Treated Soda Lime Glass
Type III – Soda Lime Glass or Soda Lime Silica Glass
Type I
Borosilicate glass has superior durability and can offer the best resistance to thermal shock and also have good chemical resistance. It can be used as laboratory container and package for acidic, neutral and alkaline.
Type II
Type II glass is treated soda lime glass which means its surface can be treated to improve its stability for protection or decoration. Saidaglass offers a large scope of treated soda lime glass for display, touch sensitive screen and construction.
Type III
Type III glass is soda lime glass which contains alkali metal oxides. It has stable chemical feature and ideal for recycling as the glass can be re-melted and re-formed multiple times.
It is most commonly used for glassware products, like beverages, foods and pharmaceutical preparations.
