Cross cut test is generally a test to define the adhesion of the coating or printing on a subject.
It can be divided into ASTM 5 levels, the higher the level, the stricter of the requirements. For the glass with silkscreen printing or coating, usually the standard level is 4B with flaking area <5%.
Do you know how to use it?
-- Prepare the cross cut test box
-- Blade the width about 1cm-2cm with 1mm – 1.2mm interval on the test area, 10 grids in total
-- Clean the cross cut area by brush first
-- Apply 3M transparent tap to see if there is any coating/painting was peel
-- Compare with the standard to define its degree
